When we moved in next to Karen and George 10 years ago we knew really quickly how lucky we were to have such lovely neighbours, but that has grown into a wonderful friendship too. 
I will never get used to not seeing George about, hearing him chat away in his kind and patient way to our boys, sharing his wisdom and as everyone else has said offering a hand of course, or joining Mike over the fence for their pale ale appreciation club.
